Bonjour et bienvenue au refuge.
Sonia et Alex vous accueillent au chalet CAF des contamines, à 5 mn du centre du village et face aux dômes de miage.
L'été, il est idéalement placé pour une étape reposante sur le tour du mont blanc ou le GR5. Ou pour servir de camp de base pour l'ascension des dômes de miage ou du mont blanc.
L'hiver il ravira les amateurs de ski, le domaine skiable des contamines étant situé à 5 mn a pied ou moins en navette!! mais les contamines c'est également réputé pour le ski de rando avec des possibilités de descente à l'infini pour les forts et les moins fort.

A word from your hosts
You will receive a warm welcome from Anaïs and Joachim at the Chalet Club Alpine Francais des Contamines. The summer season is between the 5th June and the 26th September and winter from 15th December until the 30th April. The chalet is idylically situated on the Tour du Mont Blanc and the GR5, a great rest stop before the tough ascent of the Col du Bonhomme. It is also a great base camp for other treks including the Domes du Miage and the Mont Blanc.
In winter we are close to Les Contamines ski area, perfect for all levels of skiers and ideal for those that love ski touring and snow shoeing.

About your stay
*Your hosts Alex and Sonia live in the chalet all year round so part of the chalet comprises their private living accommodation. The rest of the chalet is communal, consisting of a dining room, four dormitories, two shower rooms and 3 toilets. There is not a communal kitchen, which is why the half board option is strongly recommended, as you will not be able to prepare your own food.
*Most of your payment goes to the club Alpin Francais, we live exclusively on the restaurant service we provide (All CAF refuges work in the same way).
*The Chalet des Contamines is a great place to stay, the hosts provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but they count on you too to contribute to this atmosphere with your smiles, respect and good spirits.
