Despite the ‘roadside' location of the Chalet,
Make no mistake, you are in a REFUGE.
Here, you share your dormitory and your meal with friends, travellers passing through, hikers and mountaineers on their day off,
That's the philosophy we want to share with you.

This typical and comfortable chalet from the Haute-Savoie region has kept its mountain "soul". It is located on the Mont Joly slope of the village of Les Contamines, opposite the Dômes de Miage. You will spend a quiet stay in a well-kept environment.
Ideally located on the Tour du Mont Blanc and the GR5, it is a relaxing stage before the tough climb to the Col du Bonhomme. It is also a dream base camp for the ascent of the Dômes de Miage and Mont Blanc.
In winter, its proximity to the Contamines ski area will delight skiers of all levels, but also ski touring enthusiasts.

THE CHALET
Welcome to the Club Alpin Francais Chalet Refuge Des Contamines
The chalet can sleep up to 20 people, divided into dormitories (8 and 12 beds respectively)
The dormitories are equipped with quilts and pillows.
The chalet is not equipped with a communal kitchen.
Evening meals are served at 7pm

A comfortable, neat and cozy chalet in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere but situated also in the bustling ski resort of Val Montjoie looking onto the Domes de Miage.
