How it works

Welcome to the CAF Chalet,

Below you will find some information on how the chalet works so that you can prepare for your visit as well as possible!

After a long and beautiful day in the mountains, you arrive at the refuge.

You enter the ‘mountain' room, equipped with large shelves to store your belongings.

It's time to :

  • Take off your shoes and put on a pair of Crocs,
  • put down your poles,
  • drop off your rucksack and pack your essentials for the night - rucksacks are not allowed in the dormitories.

Check-in time!

We'll be waiting for you on the upper floor, in the kitchen, where one of us will always be on hand to welcome you and give you all the information you need.

We'll show you to your beds, dinner and breakfast times, and answer all your questions!

Once we've had a chance to talk about your day and how the chalet refuge works, it's time to settle into the dormitory and the bed that will be indicated to you.

The dormitories are simple and comfortable, and we provide all the bedding, but don't forget your towel and a nice hot shower!

Don't forget your headlamp and earplugs, which will come in handy throughout your trek (TMB, GR5, Hexatrek etc.).

Dinner is served at 7pm, but if you're going to be late please let us know! We will keep a hot meal ready for you.

Please let us know if you have a special diet (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, pork-free, etc.) when you book, and remind us of this when you check in.

You'll be dining with strangers, so it's a convivial moment, with hikers from all over the world who may have some information to give you about the next day's stage?

Enjoy your meal!
